Annual Miami HEAT Gala Event

Every year the Miami HEAT Charitable Fund holds a gala presented by Micky & Madeleine Arison and hosted by Pat & Chris Riley.

Along with developing a logo for the annual occasion, all guest touch points are presented in a manner that is both premium and consistent with the theme of the event. Invitations, table numbers, guest seating cards, food and drink menus, auction forms. Every. Last. Detail. In the past four years, the creative concepting of this event has sort of become my resident project for the Miami HEAT. I'm given a name and a musical act and told to just roll with it. It's been a real treat to have the creative freedom that comes with this assignment each year.

In the past, each guest has also received a personalized gift following the gala. A unique item for the attendees to commemorate their evening. In 2014, that gift was a gorgeous printed album of the event featuring a textured die cut slip, French folded pages with retro printed patterns, postcard inserts, and a digital copy of the album photos. In 2016, I was fortunate to have been given the opportunity to create a limited edition sleeve, specific to the event, to encase an Earth, Wind, and Fire Greatest Hits vinyl record.

2015: Black Tie on Ocean Drive with Toni Braxton

Art deco accents, fine lines, an elegant atmosphere, and the Betsy Hotel on South Beach. 

2016: Earth, Wind, and Fire Under the Moon and Stars

Bold and eclectic, geometric shapes, fun patterns, bright color palette, and funky lettering

2017: A Family Affair
with Mary J. Blige

Feminine color palette, nostalgic type treatment, and the Queen of R&B.
